Metro Gold Line shop, I didn't take many pictures in LA, and this is one of very few HDR shots. I wonder if two more megapixels would reduce the moire effect.... one more point for rationalizing the purchase of a D300..... Come to think of it, I think I got dust on my CMOS too. Should I have it professionally cleaned or do it myself? Either way, it's prudent to have a backup machine. Ya, I'm inching closer to melting a credit card.... ;-}

November 2 Sunset in Tuscany

This is the first rendering of the first shot, less contrast than the next, but I think both capture a nice sunset.

Maybe the blog is full, having trouble posting this pic. This is one of the few that you can see the buildings a bit, awesome colours over the horizon.

And the red sky sinks at last...

Monsumano Alto on the hill toward the left, that is where I will try to get sunset shots tomorrow.... maybe? If I do, you will likely see them before this text, given the backwards order of the blog (last post is first).

I could fix the stars and some other artifacts, this is the raw HDR. I think the stars are like that because of the time from the first to last shot was enough to create two images of the same star, and did not align automatically when the rest of the image was aligned. Hmmm, gives me an idea, stars streaking across the sky might look interesting. How to get enough light from each star without washing out the rest of the image. I'll need to find a hideaway in the hills and try it. It might take better photoshop skills than I have, not to mention I don't have photoshop installed! AAAAAAHH!

I have more pictures to work on, and I'll post them tomorrow.
I have much to learn about this HDR stuff, and I'm still a newbie/amateur with cameras. I'm in a good spot for taking practice pictures, no complaints about the scenery!
The backwards order of the blog is kinda strange, if I tell you what the plan is for next week, that only works ok until I post whatever that stuff is. Then it seems backwards, cuz you will see the photos, then later you arrive at where I talk about doing those pictures in the future. Hmmmmm.
